Breaking Down The Beginning Clean Send to Friends | (0) CommentsDownloadPermalink

Over the years, there have been some truly amazing opening lines which have been put to paper. From Charles Dickens, to Herman Melville, to Jane Austen, there have been opening lines which have stood the test of time, and continue even to this day to be quoted.
However, there is without question one opening line which stands above the rest. That line is, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” In this way so begins the greatest book known to man. Unlike other books, the Bible provides an amazing amount of information in its opening words. Today, we want to examine these opening words, and learn what it is that God has to say to us. Join me as we, “BREAK DOWN THE BEGINNING.”

Try Walking A Mile In My Shoes Clean Send to Friends | (0) CommentsDownloadPermalink

Have you ever heard the old expression which says, “Try walking a mile in my shoes?” There is an interesting challenge which is found therein. The challenge is to place yourself in someone else’s place, and understand what it is that they go through on a day-to-day bases. For we as people, this is almost an impossible challenge to accept.
In this lesson, we examine the idea that while it may be impossible for us to understand one another, there is one who understands us all. Yes, Christ indeed knows your trials, tribulation, strain and distress. He knows, because he has been where you are right now. I would invite you to click on the link below, and join us as we see the way in which man doesn’t get it, but Jesus always does.

Finding Your Ministry Clean Send to Friends | (0) CommentsDownloadPermalink

From a very young age, I have been told that we all have problems. Some are too tall, while others are too short. Some are to thin, and others are not. Some have disabilities, which we can see, and some have disabilities, which are hidden inside.
No, the question is not, "Do you have problems?" Instead, the question is, "What do you do with them?" In this lesson, we examine the idea that your mess can become your ministry. Anything that has you down can be used to lift someone else up! Please, if you are struggling and wondering why God has placed certain obstacles in your path, click on the link below, and let's see if we can discover the reason for those obstacles. Join me as we attempt to, "FIND YOUR MINISTRY."

Building Better Christian Attitudes By Using the BEATITUDES Clean Send to Friends | (1) CommentsDownloadPermalink
April 14, 2008 08:56AM

One of the first things that we as people notice about those whom we come into contact with is their attitude. If it is good, then we want to get to know that person and spend more time around them. However, on the other side of the coin, if it is a bad attitude, or even a false attitude, then we look to avoid those people.
In the following lesson, we will examine the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5: 3-10, we see the blueprints for building better Christian attitudes, by using the BEATITUDES. As you listen to this lesson, please follow along in the Bible. Also, keep in mind that the Beatitudes are what we want our attitude to be. Click on the following link, and let's begin building our better Christian attitudes.

I Don't Care! Clean Send to Friends | (0) CommentsDownloadPermalink

There is a current anti-smoking advertisement, which takes an interesting approach. The add is from the smokers point of view. It begins with a man who is a smoker saying that he understands that smoking will turn his teeth yellow and make his clothes smell bad. However, he says that he doesn't care, because that is why they make toothpaste and washing machines.
Further more, he says that he is aware of the fact that smoking might kill him, but he doesn't care. He states that everyone has to die from something.
Finally, he puts forth the idea that while he understands that second hand smoke is bad for those around him, he doesn't care. He says that if he doesn't care about himself, then how can we expect him to care about those around him.
Unfortunately, this, "I Don't Care Attitude", is present in more areas of our lives than just in terms of giving up smoking. It can often be seen in the lives of those who call themselves Christians. In the following lesson, we examine the Christians, "I Don't Care Attitude", as it concerns the issue of sin. Please click on the following link, and join us as we try to improve the way we view ourselves.
